Going Digital Landscape Photography Workshop at Hughenden Manor, High Wycombe.

A lovely day was had at the Going Digital Landscape Photography workshop on Saturday. A misty morning gave way to a brighter afternoon, giving us lots of tricky lighting to work with, and a great chance to start using filters to enhance grey skies. Hughenden Manor offered lots of places to practice isolating and composing great Landscape photographs, with a splash of daffodils reminding us that spring has definitely arrived. Well done to all the student who attended, some lovely images from the day, with a selection below.

Huge thanks to Richard Berry for assisting on the workshop.

Going Digital 1:1 Photography Tuition.

I had the pleasure of meeting Carole this week for a 1:1 photography session. Carole had her Olympus Camera for quite a while, and had wanted to improve her photography for quite a while. Her lovely friends purchased some Going Digital Gift Vouchers  as a Christmas present, and so we arranged a 1:1 session to learn some new techniques and get the most from her camera. We covered a lot of ground during our day at National Trust Stowe Landscape Gardens, and Carole now has much more control over her camera, with the results speaking for themselves!

Going Digital - Explore your Digital SLR Part 2 at Colchester Castle.

A bit of a break in the weather was all we needed to have an excellent photography workshop in Colchester. Lots of familiar faces from Explore your Camera Part 1 came back to play in the Castle Park, and we got to grips with more functions in our camera. Part 2 is a more advanced course, with techniques for sports, movement and action photography, controlling exposure in our cameras, and using the focussing modes to capture fast moving subjects and keep them sharp, and tracking down the infamously twitchy squirrels for a spot of wildlife photography.

Big thanks to all who attended, and to Richard Berry, my fabulous assistant, for running and jumping all over the place!

Going Digital Photography Courses in Bletchley Park, Milton Keynes.

A lovely, if slightly damp day was had on Saturday at the Going Digital Explore your Digital Camera photography course at Bletchley Park. The historic site of secret British codebreaking activities during WWII and birthplace of the modern computer. The weather was once again not kind to us, but we did manage to dash out for a bit of photography before the heavens opened. Check out some of the results below, and view the full gallery here. Congratulations to all the students who attended, some smashing photography even in the damp!
